Gulyás. Also known as: goulash – the national dish of Hungary is a rich stew made of meat and vegetables, and with lots of paprika. Traditionally, it is made from beef, but you can also find goulash made from pork or chicken.

Spiced beetroot relish  Print Recipe

Beetroots can be steamed or boiled with the skin on for 30 - 45 minutes until soft. You may also roast them for about 1 - 1 1/2 hours in the oven.
Serves: 6
Preparation time:10 minutes
Cooking time:20 minutes
1 medium beetroot, cooked* [200 g], peeled and coarsely grated [1 cup, packed]
1 Granny Smith apple [130 g], grated
2 ripe pears (any variety, peeled and chopped into small pieces
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely chopped or minced
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Juice from 1/2 lime
4 cloves
1/2 teaspoon whole cumin (or 1/4 teaspoon ground)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or 5 cm / 2 inch stick)
1 star anise
1/3 teaspoon salt
Place all ingredients in a saucepan.
Simmer for about 15 - 20 minutes while occasionally stirring.
The beets will become somewhat gel-like.
Turn off the heat and place in a 360-ml [12 oz] jar. Close the lid.

Refrigerato when cool. This beetroot relish will keep for a couple of weeks in the fridge.

Serve as a condiment with various savoury dishes, as a sandwich or wrap filler with tofu, tempeh, veggie sausages.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time:25 minutes
4 pork blade steaks, 1 to 1 1/4-inches thick
1/2 cup bottled barbecue sauce
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
Place steaks on grill about 4 inches above medium-slow coals. Cook about 8 minutes on each side. Meanwhile, stir together remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Brush steaks with sauce and continue cooking 5 minutes more, turning and brushing with sauce.

This vinaigrette is perfect for your tomato salads Summer is undoubtedly salad season! And the secret to a successful salad is the VINAIGRETTE.

Preparation time:15 minutes
2 Green Zebra Tomatoes
2 Pineapple Tomatoes
1 Beefsteak Tomato
1 Black Crimean Tomato
1 small white Onion

For the vinaigrette:
2 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp. rice vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp. Dijon Mustard
Coriander (optional)
Sesame seeds (optional)
Peel and finely chop the onions.
Wash and slice the tomatoes and set aside on a plate.
Add the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and mustard to a salad bowl and mix.
Pour the mixture over the tomatoes.
Add a few cilantro leaves and sesame seeds.
